MRI Sexual Assault Rehabilitation Centre

The project involved extensive refurbishment and remodelling of the first and second floors, including strip back to shell, removal of an external fire escape stairwells, installation of an external lift shaft and the creation of a modern, purpose-built facility to support patients and staff.

Delivered within the heart of a live hospital environment, the works required careful coordination due to occupied offices adjacent to the project and a fully operational Audiology Department directly below. The scheme also included upgrades to the surrounding external infrastructure to allow safe access for patients into the specialist facility.

The completed development provides a safe, modern and high-quality environment designed to meet the specialist operational requirements of the Sexual Assault Referral Centre while improving the functionality of the existing healthcare estate. Working within a live hospital environment, Red Tree developed a carefully coordinated delivery strategy to ensure neighbouring departments remained fully operational throughout the programme.
