This project included the full strip-out and refurbishment of toilet facilities, a staff room and a Design and Technology (D&T) suite, creating modern, functional spaces to support both staff and students.
Works included new IPS systems, flooring and sanitaryware within the toilet facilities, alongside the creation of a new staff room with internal glazed screens, kitchen provision, finishes and furniture, fittings and equipment.
The D&T suite was upgraded with specialist machinery, including two laser printers, a wood lathe, pillar drill, band saw, vacuum former, plastic line bender and bench-mounted disc sander. The installation also incorporated specialist ventilation, bench-mounted dust extraction and rise-and-fall desks.
The works were required to be completed within the summer holiday period which meant careful planning and management were essential. Through close management of the programme, coordination of specialist contractors and careful sequencing of the refurbishment works, Red Tree delivered the improved facilities within the summer holiday window, providing upgraded staff and student spaces ready for use in the new academic year.
