Red Tree Building Contractors were chosen to complete the refurbishment and fit-out of a disused area at Pear Tree High School in Cheadle to create the new Drip Café.
The project transformed the existing space into a welcoming café facility for students, staff, parents and visitors, while also providing students with the opportunity to develop valuable practical, life and employability skills as part of the school curriculum.
The works involved the removal of the existing kitchen area, floor tiles and two existing doors within the openings to create a more suitable layout for the new café. A new kitchen was installed, together with new flooring throughout the space.
The fit-out also included the installation of a new light track above the counter, pendant lighting within the booth areas, tiled splashbacks and counter finishes. Wall panelling was installed within the booth rooms with the remaining walls decorated and finished with bespoke wallpaper all the way from Sweden to create a distinctive and engaging environment.
