Central Park Refurbishment

Red Tree was appointed to transform an existing office space at Central Park into a modern outpatient facility for Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. The refurbishment created specialist interview, clinic and group therapy spaces, with new partitions, doors, glazed screens, ceilings and IPS systems, alongside alterations to existing building services.

Early contractor involvement from RIBA Stage 2 enabled Red Tree to work closely with the client and design team to shape the design within the pre-determined budget and provide early construction input. Working within a live building, careful sequencing and stakeholder engagement were key to minimising disruption, while detailed M&E coordination using a 3D model supported installation planning and early clash detection. The approach balanced privacy, acoustic performance, buildability and programme efficiency to deliver a compliant, high-quality facility tailored to the Trust’s operational requirements.
