Summary of work

Works included the refurbishment of five different zones throughout the school complex.

The project began at RIBA Stage 3 and the works were to encompass the following;

Zone 1 – Drama/Main Hall/Dance Studio/Restorative Hub – The remodelling of existing spaces to create additional stage & storage space and a new performance studio. This included demolition & strip of partition walls and staircase. As well as, the installation of new fire rated partition walls, ceilings, M&E, specialist flooring, kitchenette and bespoke IPS units and cubicles.

Zone 2 – IT Hub – The remodelling of existing space to accommodate the expansion of the IT Department. It consisted of the demolition of existing walls, removal of WC’s and shower room, floor screed repair works & drainage removal, installation of FR partitions, ceiling and finishes.

Zone 3 – Textiles Classroom – The creation of 2 new teaching spaces and office within existing demise. The works involved the demolition of existing walls and strip out of finishes, new partition walls and applied finishes. New Interactive Whiteboards and teaching stations with new lighting, relocated dado trunking and additional smoke heads.

Zone 4 – Estates Office to Student Services – The reconfiguration of existing space to accommodate office, meeting, breakout and teapoint facilities. The works included removal and replacement of external curtain walls, structural amendments, demolition and installation of new FR partitions, door sets,  ceiling, lighting, Wi-Fi, power & data within dado trunking and fire detection.

Zone 5 – Head’s Office – The provision of larger office space through removal of existing partition wall and making good of finishes
