Following an impressive track record of project deliveries at the Imperial War Museum North, Red Tree were awarded the prestigious contract of principal contractor for the iconic Poppies display as part of a Nationwide tour. The project was designed by Paul Cummins and Tom Piper, bringing in audiences of over 4 million throughout the campaign.
This was a significant project for the IWMN and one we were proud to be a part of. The ’Wave’ display consisted of hundreds of poppies across the site, becoming a real attraction in the local area.
As principal contractor, we took on the role of site supervisor throughout the duration to ensure a smooth transition across all aspects of the project, liaising with the client and sub-contractors.
We had the challenge of completing the project to a tight deadline in a live environment. As a result certain works were completed out of hours to minimise disruption to the day to day running’s of the museum. The display was therefore delivered on time for the prestigious opening press event.
