Red Tree were appointed as the main contractor for the Imperial War Museum North’s lighting scheme. This project was part of Media City’s development plan to move the BBC to the new Salford Quays location. As a result of this increased filming in the area, the IWMN was a prime backdrop for the BBC and the building had to be lit up accordingly.
Following several successfully completed projects at the IWMN, our knowledge of the building proved advantageous throughout the contract.
We worked closely with award winning company, DHA Design to deliver the lighting scheme. All site works were carried out including the management of the crane lifts for the 10m high lighting columns.
It was imperative that this project was delivered on time in conjunction with the BBC’s move to Media City to begin filming. Therefore, through effective communication and meticulous planning, we completed the project on time, to the clients’ specifications and budget.
